Tracking and monitoring the Wills, Deeds and
Investments stored by a firm can be a very time
consuming task if performed manually.
Recognising this fact, Mountain Software has
produced a suite of modules to allow firms to
efficiently administer the recording of this
information.
These add-on modules, which are available both
individually and as a complete suite, integrate with the
Practice Management System at client detail level. When
the user wishes to add a record, the client level details are
drawn through from the Practice Management System at
the touch of a button, negating the need to duplicate data
entry. Once stored, the details of the number of Wills,
Deeds and Investments held by the firm are made available
through the client screen.
The ability to be able to manage, for example, the wills
held, is an enormously powerful tool to help ensure that a
firm can offer excellent client service and gain repeat
business. These modules enable firms, for example, to
write to all of their clients that do not have a will via the
mail merge facility, or to write to the clients whose wills
they hold when there is a change in legislation that will
affect them or their children or other potential
beneficiaries.
The system also includes a useful tracking system, which
allows the firm to record when a document is removed
from storage and by whom.
All of the three modules feature a user definable report
writing package.
- Testator and Executor details
- Previous Will and Codicil dates
- Estate Value and Valuation dates
- Dependant listings
- Remover details
- Extensive Notes field
Above and beyond the core functionality, the system comes
with Will writing capabilities that use the firm's standard
copy.
The Deeds system provides the firm with a detailed log of
all deeds and instruments held by the firm on behalf of the
client.
The investments' recording system stores details about the
Investment type (from a user definable list) and a
description. Purchase details including the date of
purchase/sale and purchase/base price can also be
recorded.
By using this suite of modules, firms will be able to
efficiently track and record the status of these
important documents.
