One of the key requirements for Lexcel compliance
is that all firms of solicitors must have a mechanism
for recording complaints, compliments and
comments related to a client or matter that is being
handled within the firm at any given time.
In keeping with Mountain Software's policy of ensuring that
its software complies with all of the requirements of the
Law Society, the Risk Management module has been
developed to run alongside the client and matter details in
the Practice Management System.
This module will allow a firm to accurately record details of
complaints, compliments and comments that are received
by the firm about a client, or matter relating to the client.
The easy to use screens allow the user to define
categories of any incident and also of any resolution to that
incident.
Where a resolution is required, the system will allow the
user to produce user defined documents as well as a
complete suite of standard documents supplied with the
system. This automatic document creation, storage and
retrieval system minimises the time it takes to locate a
document as and when required. In addition to providing
18 standard reports/views of the data, the system provides
the user with a user definable Report Writer allowing the
user to design reports to his own specification. The system
also allows the recording and storage of key dates, linked
to the integrated Mountain Software diary.
By using the Mountain Software Risk Management
module, a firm should be able to obtain a reduction
in its Professional Indemnity Insurance. This
module is a cost effective application, not only for
Lexcel holders but for any practice.
