This module will reduce the overall time spent in processing each case and ensure that each one is dealt with consistently in line with a firm's high quality client care. High priority has also been given to limitation dates to ensure that firms are not exposed to the risks associated with important case landmarks.

By operating the Personal Injury module, a firm can act for either the defendant or the claimant.

The Personal Injury module stores all contact information for each claim, for example: clients; employers; referrals; witnesses; experts (including medical); courts; police and counsel. It also records correspondence that is relevant to the claim and by using the inbuilt scanning facility which allows a full case record to be electronically created for each matter. Powerful agendas (workflows) are used to formalise the way that each case is administered. These include the production of letters, forms and reminders which appear in the central diary as well as the fee earner diaries. The agendas are completely user-definable and can contain as many steps as required, allowing firms to customise them to their own specific requirements.

The module integrates directly with the Mountain Software Diary system, where provisions are made for limitation dates to ensure users are always aware of when proceedings are to be issued on behalf of clients. The module also links directly to the integrated accounts system at the ledger and timecard level. Further integration allows the use of Microsoft Office, utilising Word for document production and Excel for analysis of client losses.

Fee earners using Mountain Software's Personal Injury Case Management module will be given multiple reminders in their diaries for impending limitation dates to ensure that none are missed. This, together with the module's case management functionality and document production features, means that this is the essential tool in a modern PI department.
