Mountain Software has a client base of over 750 firms in the UK: over 500 clients in England, Wales the Channel Isles and the Isle of Man as well as 250 clients in Scotland through its acquisition of G.B. Systems.
This 25% share of the Scottish market complements its English and Welsh markets. Clients range from sole practitioners to large firms, from single PC installations through to large networks spread over multiple sites.
The way the software functions is the key to its enduring popularity. The case management modules integrate seamlessly with the core system - Practice Management System, Time Recording, Solicitors' Accounts and Document Management. This enables the software to be tailored to clients' requirements, as they are able to choose exactly which modules they require. The software complies completely with the Solicitors' Accounts Rules and Lexcel accreditation, as well as Legal Services Commission (LSC) requirements for a Franchise. Mountain Software was also the first software house to facilitate the automatic electronic submission via the Internet of the Legal Services’ monthly returns from practitioners and continues to ensure that firms are able to keep up to date with changes from the LSC and other regulatory bodies. Mountain Software also provides a range of on-line solutions for solicitors, including on-line case tracking facilities and e-conveyancing.
Mountain Software is the only software house to have been accredited in the Law Society of England and Wales' Annual Software Solutions Guide every year since its inception in 1998. The products consistently score extremely highly on ease of use, value for money, functionality and suitability. The Law Society of Scotland's Judicial Factor department uses an application specifically produced for it by G.B. Systems, and Mountain Software is committed to working with the Law Society to develop and enhance this system.
