Using the Mountain Software Family Case Management Module means that the fee earner can concentrate on the more important elements of client care, by allowing the software to handle all of the repetitive, time consuming tasks.

This module includes links into the central Mountain Software diary for key date and file review management. Reminders can also be automatically generated through the document production process. It also links to the integrated Mountain Software Accounts system at ledger and timecard level to enable fee earners to be aware of the financial position on their cases at all times.

The Case Management functionality of the system is completely user definable, allowing each firm to set up its own workflows to ensure that fee earners always produce documents in a particular style.

Each stage in the agenda (workflow) can contain as many steps as required. Each step within a stage can include the production of multiple letters/electronic forms and can have in-built reminders, which will appear in the central diary as well as the fee earners diary and the limitation diary. Steps within an agenda can also be linked to subsequent steps in the Agenda. For example, 21 days after the production of a particular document, a fee earner is prompted to produce the next document.

As with all Mountain Software's Fee Earner Support modules, the Family/Child Care module includes a powerful document management system, which provides automatic document creation, storage and retrieval and is user friendly and easy to operate. Firms can use their own standard documents to maintain their particular style.

We also offer the option of pre-defined documents and agendas for those firms who wish to start with a template from which to develop their own style, rather than having to start with a blank canvas.

By using Mountain Software's Family Case Management module, fee earners can manage their cases more effectively, whilst ensuring, where appropriate, that they comply with the requirements of the Legal Services Commission.
